Kitchen Remodeling in Ames You Can See Before You Buy

Completely Kitchens has designed and installed kitchens from its Ames showroom since 1985. Walk the displays, handle the samples, then let one team design, order and install it.

Kitchen Remodeling in Ames Starts at the Showroom

Picking a kitchen from photos alone is hard. For kitchen remodeling in Ames, Completely Kitchens lets you see, touch and feel the difference first.

The showroom at 204 Airport Road has full cabinet displays and hundreds of countertop samples, so the color and finish you pick in person are the ones that end up in your home.

Behind the showroom is a small team that handles the whole job. A designer visits your home to measure and learn how you cook.

The cabinets, counters, sinks and fixtures are ordered in-house, and co-owner Russ Jones handles demolition, installation and the finishing details, from painting and plumbing to tile and lighting.

Countertop Replacement

Refresh a kitchen without a full tear-out. Choose laminate, granite, quartz or Dekton from hundreds of samples. A digital template is made within about a week of your order, and new tops are installed roughly four to five weeks later.

Bathroom Remodels

New vanities, showers, tile and flooring. Past projects include walk-in showers in the Ames and Boone area and a fraternity bath where the team replaced 30-year-old tile with quartz walls, added a fourth sink and finished a week ahead of the deadline.

Ames Kitchen Remodel Questions

How long does a countertop replacement take?

After you pick your material and color, the team comes out within about a week to make a digital template so the slab is cut to size. Install is usually about four to five weeks later. A plumber disconnects the sink, and the crew removes your old counter the day before the new one goes in.

Which countertop material should I choose?

Laminate is the most budget-friendly but the least durable. Granite resists scratches but needs sealing every year. Quartz is the most popular choice and needs no sealing, though it is not heat resistant. Dekton by Cosentino is heat proof and extremely strong. You can compare all four in the showroom.

Can I see materials before I decide?

Yes. That is the point of the showroom at 204 Airport Road in Ames. You can walk through cabinet displays and look through hundreds of countertop samples. Hours are Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm, and Saturday by appointment only. The showroom is closed on Sunday.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Call (515) 233-1470 for a free estimate, or email showroom@completelykitchens.com to schedule a free walkthrough and consultation of your kitchen or bathroom project. A designer will visit your home, take measurements and talk through what you want before any design is drawn up.

What can I update if my budget is tight?

Smaller updates still change how a kitchen feels. Under-cabinet lighting can be installed in an afternoon. A new sink, new knobs or pulls, a fresh backsplash, painted cabinets or new quartz countertops can all refresh the room without the cost of brand new cabinets. Ask the showroom which fits your budget.
